Please see below important product updates across the Vinyl Group network of brands.

Search is the most used functionality on the site and we’ve completely revamped it. Not only is it now more accurate but also provides better recommendations and has an improved appearance. Since implementing it, conversion from performing a search to adding a product to the cart has increased by 60%.

We developed a script to integrate ads into The Brag Media titles (Rolling Stone AU/NZ).  The widget adds a vinyl record icon when it finds an artist name that we have products and a creator profile for. Hovering (or clicking) this opens a popover for users to browse records, available to purchase at a 10% discount. 

We’ve also added a block at the bottom of the articles with vinyl albums. This provides Rolling Stone AU/NZ readers with an option to buy vinyl records at a discounted price without interfering with their reading experience.

This script has been designed for easy insertion into other media titles globally. 

UI changes on different parts of the site (how images appear, pop-ups, how information loads, etc) to make it feel faster.

Poppy Reid Takes Center Stage at B&T Cannes in Cairns

Join Poppy Reid at B&T Cannes in Cairns for two high-profile sessions:

Keynote with Renowned Australian Talent: Poppy will be moderating a keynote address featuring renowned Australian actor, writer, and producer Richard Roxburgh. This is a unique opportunity to gain insights from a major figure in the Australian entertainment industry.

Poppy will participate in a panel discussion titled "Behind the Lens: Risk and Resilience." Joining her will be filmmaker Gabriel Gasparinatos (director of Netflix's "ONEFOUR: Against All Odds") and Kiwi film director Zoë McIntosh (director of "Stylebender"). This session promises a deep dive into the traits and skills needed to navigate the demanding world of filmmaking.

This month The Brag media partnered with BYD for an exclusive first-look at the innovative company’s new EV car, the Sealion 6. During a first-of-its-kind launch at Docklands Studios in Melbourne, #AmyShark delivered a stunning acoustic set surrounded by BYD’s new range, with BYD’s Xueliang Liu sharing insights into the company’s ambitious commitment to reduce carbon emissions across the globe. EVDIRECT’s Head of Marketing, Kate H. added, "Partnering with The Brag Media for our recent vehicle launch was incredible. Variety AU Partners Melbourne International Film Festival

The Brag Media has confirmed a strategic partnership between Variety Australia and the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), Australia's premier film festival (and one of the oldest globally, alongside Cannes and Berlin). Held annually in August, MIFF showcases a curated selection of international films and serves as a vital platform for Australian cinema. This collaboration strengthens Variety AU's credibility within the local market. By aligning with this cultural cornerstone, Variety AU positions itself for continued growth and enhanced commercial opportunities.

We completed the technical migration to our new distribution provider, Eveara. 

For our users this means better UX and functionality that wasn't previously supported such as pre-save links, split payments and Youtube Content ID.

For us it means: Lower administrative costs, a better platform that we can market, and the chance to integrate Vampr Distribution into the app

We released a major update to the app, v8.0. We focused on improving speed and stability. Some results:

Cold Starts (opening app when fully closed). Android: 3.02 -> 1.39s (55% faster), iOS: 1.79 -> 1.17s (35% faster)

Loading Screens (across the app): 7.3 -> 3.08s (58% faster)

20% increase in conversion from Installed to Onboarded users.
