Latest IPSOS iris data highlights the ongoing success of The Brag Media network's audience expansion strategy:

September’s IPSOS iris data shows impressive results of 9.7M unique audience across Brag Media’s top 50 sites alone, reflecting their growing reach and strong connection with audiences across key demographics.

Rolling Stone House at SXSW Sydney Wraps with Stacked Lineup:

The inaugural Rolling Stone House closed its doors on October 19th, completing a three-day festival, part of SXSW Sydney 2024.

More than 20 acts performed including Hockey Dad, 9lives, Yung Raja, Voice of Baceprot, and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.

Event Partners included American Apparel, Cholula Hot Sauces, Unified Music Group and Lonely Lands Agency.

The Brag Media's event achieved a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Vinyl Group. Vampr artists took the stage for two nights, while Vinyl.com powered the silent disco, creating a truly integrated experience.

Batoul Peters Discusses Gaming and Brands at DEPT® SXSW Roundtable:

Batoul Peters, Head of Partnerships ANZ at The Brag Media, recently joined the DEPT® Garden House roundtable series to discuss the convergence of gaming and brands. The discussion explored effective strategies for connecting with gaming audiences and driving brand engagement.

Through our partnership with Playwire, The Brag Media offers brands unique opportunities to tap into the gaming market and align with gaming culture.

American Apparel Returns to Australia with a Bang:

American Apparel made a triumphant comeback to the Australian market, partnering with Rolling Stone and The Brag Media for a memorable VIP relaunch event, which saw Amy Shark, DJ AJ Valero, and Nina Las Vegas perform.

The event attracted a diverse crowd of Sydney's creative community, including musicians, influencers, producers, artists, and media personalities.

The Brag Media’s ongoing collaboration with American Apparel continued with a customisable t-shirt pop-up at Rolling Stone House during SXSW Sydney.

Variety Australia and Mediaweek Join Forces for 2024 Awards:

Mediaweek announced the return of the prestigious Mediaweek 100 and Media Agency 50 Awards for 2024.

In addition to honouring top media leaders, this year's event will introduce the inaugural Variety Australia Entertainment 50 Awards, recognising the top 50 creatives, producers, directors, and industry organisations shaping the Australian entertainment landscape.

Confirmed sponsors include News Corp Australia, Think News Brands and Vevo.

Mediaweek ushers in new era with key editorial appointments:

Mediaweek also announced key editorial appointments in October, Frances Sheen as Head of Content and Emma Shepherd as Editor-In-Chief. Fran will oversee the editorial direction of Mediaweek and collaborate closely with the commercial and leadership teams, as well as Vinyl Group, to shape the publication’s broader strategy and expanding events portfolio. Emma Shepherd will step into the role of Editor-In-Chief and lead the day-to-day news agenda and editorial product for Mediaweek.

The UK is one of the largest and most influential music markets in the world. This launch is a big step forward towards establishing our brand in Europe and helping vinyl lovers and super fans find their favourite records all over the world.

Emmanuel Kelly’s debut EP, No Zodiac, is available for pre-order on vinyl.com.

Executive-produced by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, this exclusive vinyl is limited to 250 uniquely crafted copies and pressed on eco-friendly regrind vinyl.

Emmanuel Kelly is signed to Vampr Publishing and Vampr Distribution, and is currently on tour supporting Coldplay for the Australia and New Zealand legs of their Music of the Spheres World Tour.

Customers can now enable shipping protection to get a new record if the one they received is faulty or gets lost. It’s good for the customer and it helps us increase our AOV

Welcomed a strong roster of new artists to Serenade:

We worked with a diverse collection of artists this month spanning the rock, pop and grime genres, collaborating with a range of reputable record labels and artist management companies in the process. Notable artists include Sports Team, The Lottery Winners, The Slow Readers Club, Warmduscher and grime supergroup, Fimi Guerrero, Len and Lancey Foux.

These artists created a range of Smart Formats, from NFC-based stickers to be applied to the backs of signed and limited edition tour posters to collectible lanyards displayed in a number of different cases.

Adjusted to a new sales-focused strategy and operating model:

We spent the month adjusting to a new operating model focusing on growing revenue through increased investment in sales, while maintaining low product and engineering costs.

In keeping with this sales-focused strategy, we have gone about recruiting a new team member to join our sales team, with a number of strong candidates applying.

Over the past 12 months Serenade evolved from a B2C to a B2B company, and now, the homepage is consistent with this focus on serving music industry customers, i.e. record labels and artist management companies. Prior to this shift, the homepage encouraged fans to purchase individual digital albums and now, it informs labels and artist management companies about Smart Formats and encourages them to place a wholesale order.

New version of the app is about to go live with several changes including:

New referral flow - We'll offer users 1 week of Vampr Pro for every friend they invite to the app

Vampr Pro pricing changes - We'll test several changes to our paywall and available plans with the goal of increasing average revenue per user.

We're starting to test Google Ads and investing in content creators for user-generated content as we ramp up user acquisition efforts.

Soft-launched jaxsta.io for existing members:

Brand new experience of the Jaxsta platform that will fully replace the current Jaxsta in the coming weeks. Jaxsta v2 is cleaner, more user-friendly and complete with optimised infrastructure. This has resulted in improved efficiency of the platform. now having faster searches and reduced operating costs.

Free and Creator memberships will phase out as members transition to Vampr - https://vampr.me/jaxsta - whilst Jaxsta further cements B2B engagement, focusing on delivering the optimal platform for exploring, researching and analysis of music credits.

Vinyl Group launches the Vinyl Values Awards:

On October 28th, Vinyl Group launched the internal Vinyl Values Awards (VVA's) to recognise outstanding talent within the organisation. Three individuals were honoured for their exemplary contributions and alignment with the company's core values -

Anan Silvarinas: "Always Be There for the Team" for exceptional team support.

Dylan Kelly: "Collaboration is Key" for outstanding teamwork.

Denise Barnes: "Brave Ambition Drives Innovation" for groundbreaking ideas.
