Variety Live Business Breakfast: The inaugural Variety Live Business Breakfast was a smash success, celebrating the greatest achievements of the entertainment industry — from theatre to comedy, major concert tours and more across seven awards. Lars Brandle Appointed Head of Content: A former musician with over 20 years of experience reporting on the international music industry, Lars Brandle has joined The Brag Media as Head of Content. Earlier, Brandle served as Global News Editor at Billboard, a music industry staple. He has also held roles as Billboard's Australian correspondent and senior contributor to The Brag Media. In his new position, Brandle will be responsible for the content strategy and output across The Brag Media's suite of titles, including Rolling Stone Australia and New Zealand, Variety Australia, The Music Network, Tone Deaf, and more.

Cannes in Cairns Award Win for Rolling Stone and Movember Collaboration: Rolling Stone’s collaborative zine with Movember has won silver at this year's Cairns in Cairns awards, receiving an award for excellence in publishing. This incredible partnership has helped raise awareness and open the conversation around music and mental health. https://www.thebrag.media/work/movember

Mumbrella Media Brand of the Year Shortlist: The Brag Media was invited to present to a jury of media experts, making it to the shortlist for Brand of the Year at this year’s Mumbrella Awards. These awards recognise excellence in commercial success, innovation, and market impact. Winners will be announced on August 1st, 2024 at The Star, Sydney.

Ongoing Improvements: The new app version 8.2.2. of Vampr went live, fixing several issues causing crashes as well as more minor issues.

Profile Visibility: This is a new setting in Edit Profile that controls who can see your profile across the app and web. As we start to ramp up Vampr Web efforts, we thought it was important to get this work out of the way, so that users could opt out of a public profile if desired. The default setting for all users is "Public".

Vampr Web: You can see your own Profile from the menu link and when you look at another user's profile, you'll see different CTAs depending on your relationship with them. This means you can:
   ◦  Follow someone on web
   ◦  Send a connection request on web
   ◦  Accept/Ignore a connection request on web

Search Improvements: After releasing the revamped search last month, conversion from searching to completing an order increased by 60%, so we doubled down on this. We added recent searches, kept the search bar open in some key pages, improved UI and tracking, and made a brand new “No results” page.

Airship Set Up: We’ve set up Airship (our email marketing tool) for vinyl.com. This tool is much more powerful than the Shopify email app giving us more flexibility when sending emails as well as allowing us to create better automations, have much better designs for email templates, more personalized communications and more!

Changes in the Cart: We’ve made changes in the cart to visually emphasise free shipping. Not only does the cart look better but we also expect it to increase conversions.

Technical SEO: We’ve halved the size of images on carousels and list pages and are working on improving product descriptions. These things will help us improve our SEO rankings and make the pages load faster.

Exploring the Use of The MLC’s Data: A Showcase of Three Companies: Jaxsta's Product Lead Ben Orme presented in a 60-minute webinar hosted by The MLC, showcasing how their data programs are used by technology companies around the world. Demonstrating how the platform leverages their Bulk Data Access Subscription, it also outlined the enrichment this provides to the platform and the subsequent benefits for the membership community.Full recording of the webinar can be viewed here
